Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Vintage Ride. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of vintageride.lk and the booking of our vintage vehicles, tours, and private hires in Sri Lanka. By using the website, creating an account, or placing a booking, you agree to these terms.

Please read them before you pay. Our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy are part of these terms and are linked at the bottom of this page.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place a booking. Passengers may be younger when an adult makes the booking.
• Self-drive guests must hold a valid home-country driving licence and a valid International Driving Permit, and must be legally allowed to drive in Sri Lanka. We may refuse a self-drive handover if those documents are missing or do not match the guest.
• You are responsible for keeping your account email and password confidential, and for activity under your account.
• You agree to give accurate, current information at registration and checkout, including your name, contact number, passport or identity number, and licence details where we ask for them.
• You may not use the website for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with the site, or to attempt to access another person’s booking or account.

• We describe our fleet and tours in good faith. Classic cars are individual machines: finish, equipment, and on-road character can differ from a modern vehicle and from the photographs. A specific car may be substituted with a comparable vehicle from the fleet if the one you chose is unavailable.
• Prices are shown in US dollars unless a booking says otherwise. They can change before you pay. A price confirmed on your booking does not change after we accept it, except where you add time, passengers, or add-ons.
• Promotions and discounts apply only for the period and conditions stated with the offer.
• Curated tours include the fuel and, where the package says so, the chauffeur or road-captain fee. Custom hires follow the price we confirm with you before the ride. Costs you arrange yourself are not included.

• Placing a booking is an offer to hire the selected vehicle or tour on the date and time you choose. The booking is accepted when we confirm it by email or WhatsApp, or when a card payment is successfully taken.
• We may refuse or cancel a booking where the vehicle is unavailable, the price or description was clearly wrong, we suspect fraud, the licence documents are not acceptable for self-drive, or the request falls outside our operating hours of 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.
• You agree to pay the total shown, including any add-ons, using a valid card, bank transfer, or cash where that option is offered. Card payments are processed by PayHere. We do not store or have access to your full card number or CVV.
• You authorise us, through PayHere, to charge the amount due to the card you provide. A bank-transfer or pay-on-arrival booking is held only once we confirm it, and the vehicle is released if payment is not received as agreed.

• We will make reasonable efforts to start your booking at the agreed time. Arrival times on a tour are estimates and vary with traffic, weather, and stops you choose to make.
• Unless we agree a different meeting point, hires begin in the Weligama area on Sri Lanka’s southern coast.
• Self-drive guests receive a short handover briefing before the keys are released. You must follow that briefing, the agreed route or area, and Sri Lankan traffic law.
• You must not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, race the vehicle, overload it, smoke in it, or take it off-road unless the booking is an off-road experience we have agreed in writing.
• You are responsible for traffic fines and for loss or damage caused by misuse, negligence, or use outside the booking. The fleet is insured for classic rental and tour use. That insurance does not cover fines or damage arising from the conduct described above.
• If a car has a mechanical problem during a booking, contact us on WhatsApp during operating hours. We will arrange assistance or, where we can, an alternative ride.

Cancellations, reschedules, and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is published on this website. Please read it before you pay. Nothing in these terms reduces a right you have under the Refund Policy.

The website and its content, including text, photographs, logos, and graphics, belong to Vintage Ride or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use that content for a commercial purpose without our prior written consent. You may share links to our pages.

Vintage Ride, its founders, and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or from a booking, including missed flights, lost bookings with other providers, or loss of enjoyment, except where Sri Lankan law does not allow that limit.

Classic vehicles have the character of their era. We maintain them carefully and do not promise that they will perform, ride, or equip like a modern car. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force when we accept that booking. It is your responsibility to read the current terms before you book again.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. The courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over disputes arising from a booking or from use of the website.
